First Found Him

Everybody wants to know
What’s come over you
They think there must be something
That’s made your dreams come true
What they’ll never see is
The dream you’ve been walking in
Ever since that moment you first found him

Your heart has been captured, your
mind’s been set ablaze
You’re always thinking about one thing
In about a million different ways
It doesn’t seem to matter
about why or how or the when
It’s been that way since you first found him

what if you wake up; the past all goes away?
what if that first kiss was one that marked the day
of your redemption, a day of being free

no one wants to know
any of the details
they’re just looking to find out
something they can each re-tell
but they won’t understand
the laughter welling up within
Ever since that moment you first found him

what if you wake up; the past all goes away?
what if that first kiss was one that marked the day
of your redemption, a day of being free

the day you first found him
the day you first found him
